With Endearing Light complete, (available now on GiantSlayerGames.com, and DTRPG soon) I’m looking forward to the next thing!
There’s a poll on X right now, which will lead into another poll depending on the winner you can vote on now ( https://x.com/paddyohcakes/status/1886210597530042545?s=46 ).
There are some clear choices, with some being returning to Mutants! and its core rules. Different flavors of skirmish war gaming are rife and ready within that 56 page zine. I’d love to do a traditional fantasy setting as well as a less gonzo, more hard scifi setting closer to 40k or Deadzone.
I also have my own proprietary RPG rule set that’s been in development purgatory for years. It’s a big one on my list to finish, as the verbiage of its rules actually makes writing supplements and settings for it incredibly easy. It’s a d10 dice pool system.
Of course there are plenty of setting source books for Shadowdark to be had and I’ve got two that are primed for finishing; a modern setting based off the city in Endearing Light and a Scifi setting that occurs on Pluto.
I also have other skirmish wargames and wargame heartbreakers lined up.
All this to say, vote over on X but also join my discord to give me feedback and what you think! Also, consider encouraging others to join us at the parlor!
Greetings Peeps!
Following in TheBasicExpert's footsteps, I am also going to be uploading free stock art folks and peeps alike can use to make their own books. All that is needed to use the pieces in your publications (no merch, collections, etc) is credit Paddy's Parlor Games or @PaddyohCakes in the book!
Following TheBasicExpert’s footsteps to combat AI or to help other creators source art for their projects, I am posting some art for people to use so long as they put Paddy’s Parlor Games and/or @PaddyohCakes in the credits where it’s used and do not use it for merch (shirts, stickers, art collections, etc)
Please feel free to share with me whatever you use it in!
Finishing the last bit of edits (mainly looking at consistent terms and capitalization) tonight! I will try to figure out how to get the books uploaded to Locals, so you guys can download them straight from here rather than me emailing them out.
Hope January has treated you all well! See you guys on Sunday morning!
